I'm seeing noticeably faster charging speeds on my Mophie Pad this morning after switching to iOS 11.2 last night on my 8+. Those with Mophie pads and 8/8+/X should try it out.

Faster charging speed yes, it is documented as a feature of 11.2, which enables 7.5w wireless charging from 5w previously. But real life testing shows that the difference is not that significant.

So when you have either the Mophie or Belkin charger from the Apple Store, no need to purchase any extra cables or adaptors to be able to fast charge?

Iphone has the slowest wireless charging among all top end phones........smh

Some of this depends on where you start the charge from.

This is based on numbers generated from the app "Amperes" and tested on my phone in a charge state between 50-70%.

12W iPad charger yields 1222 points, 10W iPad charger yields 977 points, both the Mophie QI charger and the 5W apple charger are at 698 points, with the Mophie still at 698 after the change.

In order to see greater differentiation, you would have to start at a lower charge level. Unfortunately (fortunately?) I have yet to end the day below 50% battery.

I need help. I bought this charger and it started charging at 11:15 this morning and at 3:40 it was fully charged. Wasn’t it supposed to be faster than that? Besides, iPhone X got hot and Mophie marks on the apple case. What am I doing wrong?
