Just a quick FYI, AMD dropped a new Bootcamp GPU driver today. It’s only one number greater than the previous driver so I don’t know if anything is really new and improved but thought I’d mention here since it’s been over a year since the last GPU update.

Driver fixed the UE5/DX12 crashing issues in Satisfactory, even though Satisfactory complains about the driver due to its version number.

What's the difference between a BootCamp GPU driver and a normal GPU driver? How do I tell the difference?

I see they have a web page at https://www.amd.com/en/resources/support-articles/release-notes/Apple-Boot-Camp.html
The drivers appear to be for Mac specific AMD GPU variants.

I usually just use Driver Genius from driver-soft.com to keep Windows drivers up to date. I don't know if they include the drivers for Mac specific AMD GPU variants.

Thanks! I never had expected that.
I usually head off to https://www.bootcampdrivers.com/ and install their adjusted drivers.

Will use the official ones for my iMac 2017 with Radeon 580 Pro

I believe the general premise is that the BootCamp specific drivers have been specifically tested for compatibility with the target Mac computers. The most current "normal" drivers for any given GPU are almost never fully tested against the Macs with those GPUs, resulting in various bugs and crashes in some games. Unfortunately, the "fully tested" BootCamp drivers also result in bugs (and compatibility issues) in video games... just a different collection of bugs.

My first IntelMac was a late 2006 iMac; it seems to me that these issues have plagued IntelMacs from the very beginning and have been a source of frustration for any Mac users who has ever tried to play GPU intensive Windows based video games under BootCamp.
