At first, I thought this was great; I assumed it would autohide it. However, after downloading it, this is not the case (at least for me) There is so much at the top, that you lose a good 20% of your workspace. You might like it, I don't know.
 
isn't there a full screen option? I know there's an option to hide it in portrait, but isn't there one in landscape? (i don't have my ipad yet, so I can't verify myself)

You can get rid of part of the ruler, but not the entire top ribbon. ALos, the text indents a half inch closer in on the sides, thereby making the text smaller. The only way I can get the text the same size as before is if a pinch and expand to 200%. What gets me is the wasted space of the top bar - they could make it half the height and still keep the same functionality to it.

If you want to hedge your bets, make a copy of the Pages.ipa file from your iTunes folder (in Music). If you don't like the changes, delete the new one after you have downloaded it.
