G Drive mini external hard drive won't power up

I have a new g drive loaded with quicktime video files. I have been logging the footage and have had to switch computers several times today. I finally plugged it into a lap top and the drive beeped a few times then switched off without loading onto the lap top. Now it won't power back on with any machine.

Can it be saved or is the drive dead?
