Hey, just thought I'd give people a headsup. I've been having intermittent kernel panics. Programs shut down, beachballs on awake from sleep, beachballs randomly during use in inappropriate times (ie: shouldn't be having beachballs when switching tabs in safari), one total system crash, and issues with full screen video. After several tests and Applecare help, it seems to be isolated to the 8GB G.SKill 10666 upgrade RAM. I ran a extended hardware test and got a 4MEM/62 error. After reinstalling the original 4GB apple RAM twice to see if it was the ram or logic board, I got clean results, so it seems as if the RAM is causing the errors.
I know this doesn't mean all G.Skill RAM is bad, as I plan on contacting them and having them send me new sticks, just figured it might be the cause of some of the issues I've seen on the forums.
EDIT: One thing that did vary, is initially the computer was plugged in during the test, and the second set was with it unplugged, I may run it one more time to make sure the conditions are identical between the two tests, though I would assume this wouldn't cause the 4MEM/62 error.
