G3 B\w Case Buttons??

Still quite the apple virgin so to speak, there are two small buttons directly below the power button on the front of the case what are these for??

The left one restarts the computer, and the right one loads the debugger. The debugger was useful in OS 9 for quitting out of programs and other useless stuff, but I don't think there is any use for it in OS X.
