I have inherited a 400Mhz G3 iMac that takes about six trys to start up. It makes the start up sound but the screen doesn't come on and there isn't any indication of HD activity. I was told that if you keep on re-booting it (not healthy) it will eventually start and works fine after that. Has anyone had similar experience? It appears to be running 9.2 with the most up to date firmware patch. Would a bad PRAM battery cause behavior like this?
TIA,
Rob
