My monitor for my old G3 blue and white has just died and I'm having trouble getting a monitor that will be compatible. I am running the original graphics card I got with the mac and os 8.6.

Is there any way I can attach a new monitor?
Do I need a special cable to get it to work?

Any help greatly received!

I was going to try that, but had been advised that most new monitors would run a different screen resolution not compatible with 0s 8.6

on 8.6 I'll need a monitor that will comply with

640x480 120hz
800x600 120hz
832x624 75hz
1024x768 120hz
1152x870 75hz
1280x960 75hz
1280x1024 85hz
1600x1200 85hz
1920x1080 72hz

All the new LCD monitors I've looked at don't suit these requirements.

If you don't mind using a CRT then you can get a free one off of Craigslist, and as long as it uses VGA it should work fine.
