I have acquired a g3Pismo powerbook a lombardi, for my daughter who is going to Italy to work. Having owned one before I assumed it had a cd-dvd drive but it doesn,t it just has a cd drive. I took it in and they can install a cd dvd drive but the motherboard recognizes it for data but it will not play movies as the motherboard is not set up to do this. Is it difficult to acquire and install a --I believe a heathrow motherboard--or am I just wasting my time and should I sell this one and look for a new computer?

I would sell it. I mean, after you go through all the hassle of changing the motherboard and all that, you are still stuck with a G3 Pismo Powerbook. At least get a PB with a DVD drive, and you will also get a significant speed boost.
