Whats a better option?
Obviously these are second hand,

I have the oppurtunity for a G4"digital audio"/733/superdrive 1.5GB ram etc

or a Quicksilver 800mhz 512mb ram etc.

For music production only, using Panther...

Or is a Dual Processor 450/533 close performance wise to the above?

ORRRRRRRRRRR

Finally,

Is an Emac 1.25ghz faster than all the above?

Im leaning toward the g4/733...?

Help appreciated.

Still no one? :(
New Emac wouldnt be bad choice. you get a lot for the money and the Emac is more machine then the Quicksilver at 800. but crank it up, add ram and a decent video card and a Quicksilver can still win the race. 10 months at 1.47 :)Geforce3 etc. Im still current. one thing that hinders Emac is you cant change video. Quicksilver you can pop in a 9800 if you wish.

What do you mean 'more a machine?'

I know the cpu speed is faster but I always heard powermacs were quicker than emacs,

Compare say a

1.25ghz 512mb emac vs a Powermac G4/733 w/512MB ram

For music production work?
