Hi,
I'm new the Mac world, just bought my first G4 from another Mac user. The problem I'm having is that I switched from OS 10 to OS classic 9 (on machine) because the scanner I was using couldn't work with OS 10. The drivers were updated, and I switched back to OS 10. However, now every time the Mac boots up it tries to boot up in the old user's id. I can't find away around this. Is there a way to boot up in a safe mode to add myself as a user or remove him completely?

Thanks for any help,
Stephan

Go into the System Preferences, to Accounts, and make your own. Then turn off automatic login (Accounts in OS X 10.3, Login or My Account in OS X 10.0-10.2) and log in under your new account. Make sure you don't leave any files on the desktop in the other account, and then go and delete the old account in the same Preference Pane.
