G4 box -> main desktop

I've recently been given a couple of G4 boxes, mostly gutted. Not much is salvageable but I do like the cases. I'm inexperienced at this but I've got a bit of time so I thought I'd turn 'em into Mac Pros, or as close as I can reasonably get.

Has anyone out there tried this? Are there any good fix/instruction/support for this sort of thing online? Any thoughts or advice before I just start mucking about?
