Hello all,
This is becoming a regular occurance for me now, as a Mac Newbie I am coming across lots of hurdles when upgrading these systems.
I have a Quicksilver that has a G-celerator 1.6ghz cpu upgrade, the machine has been running great until yesterday, I have been trying to flash a better graphic card for it (one of my threads on this site) the bottom line is that it got to the stage where I have done the drastic reset of the motherboard, now the machine will not power up. I think it is due to the cpu has to be the much slower older cpu it was originally built with, not a problem as I have one of them on order and it should be here any day.
My main problem is that I no longer have the software for the upgrade cpu. Giga Designs site no longer seems to exsit, does anyone out there happen to have a copy of the FIRMWARE for a 1.6ghz cpu???? Or does anyone know of a site where I can download a copy of the firmware???
