Hi all,

I have been trying to connect my g4 cube to my wifi and receive this issue: :the password you entered is not correct for the selected airport network."

After some research, I discovered that it could be the wireless security but that ended up not being true as I switched from WPA2 to WPA and still received the same issue.

Now my thoughts are simply to purchase a wireless adapter but have no experience with this. Has anyone gone down this path and have been successful?

Thank you!

I think the answer you need is here:

You can see WPA and WPA2. But you cannot connect to WPA2 or WPA using AES encryption. You can try but the Mac will tell you your password is wrong.

If where you are does not have any networks using WPA with TKIP or WEP, you are not going to be able to connect.

So, if your wireless router can change to those settings you should be good to go.

Otherwise, I don't have a recommendation for a third party dongle.

airport does not play nice with newer apple routers when you turn off encryption and have it set to a/b. I suggest an older router hooked to an ethernet port on your current router as its the only luck I had, so basically setting up a new network.
