Was trying to backup some dvd's last night and I was able to rip them to the desktop fine but when I tried to use Toast to burn the video file back to DVD RW my G4 DVD drive wouldn't recognize them?? Anyone else have this problem? Any fixes? Do I have to use a certain kind of DVD RW? Very confused.

G4 DVD drive won't recognize DVD RW

Not all G4s had DVD burners as some were just combo drives(CD-RW and DVD). Go to your Apple menu in the top left corner and then to "About this Mac". Select More Info and then Disc Burning.
You will see in the list the type of media that you can burn(if possible).
