Ever since 2002, the G4 iMac has kept its proud feature of having the thinnest display of any iMac.

Only now, in 2021, does the M1 iMac finally take its place.

It's pretty impressive to have old hardware that has outperformed all models for 20 years!! (Of course, I'm ignoring the giant, heavy semi-dome underneath the G4, which the M1 does not have.)

For someone who loves the weightless feeling of the G4 iMac, the M1 is right down my alley... only this time, it almost is weightless! At 4.46 kg (9.83 pounds), it's only 1 kg heavier than a PowerBook G3 Wallstreet (~3.4kg)!

How times have changed.

Well, that iMac is basically a MacBook Air with a big display bolted on. It had better be lightweight LOL
