G4 iMac wifi options

What are my options for wifi on a G4 iMac? Airport card? Isn't it a slower than optimal speed? I have verizon fios Internet service, and would like to avoid a bottle neck in the stream. The router is setup in the living room tied to my roommate's non-wifi enabled windows machine, and my iMac is in my bedroom on the other side of the house.

USB dongle options? Would it be cheaper to make the roomates machine wifi capable?

Depends on your model. As long as you have a model above 1 GHz or above it will take the Airport Extreme and will be able to use Wireless G. It is the card apple still sells. If you have 800 MHz or below you will only be able to get the airport card and it may be a bit slower.
