So my dad's G4 imac (the kind with the screen on the arm) had several updates showing up in software updates so i ran them, and the security update (10.4) wouldn't install, and a dialog came up saying to retry it but before i could the it shut down to reboot, and now it won't fully boot.
it starts normally, normal apple screen, then just sticks on the blue screen like it's booting forever.
I tried holding down C while booting and also holding the eject button to get the hardware test disc in, but it's completely unresponsive...
any ideas?
