Hey Guys-
I have recently acquired a G4 Imac that supposedly has hardly ever been used. I got it for running only Reason and Pro Tools 6.7. My problem: Before the computer is even done booting up, a message pops up that says "you must restart your computer by pressing the restart button or hold down the power button for several seconds." When I restart it, the same message keeps coming back up. This happens all before the desktop or log-in screen has a chance to appear, mouse not functional. Any suggestions as to how to solve this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Could be software related, i.e. something wrong with the Mac OS X installation.
Can you get a retail version of Tiger (or the original restore CD's) to wipe the HD and reinstall the OS?
