Hi, I just got a brand new iPod Touch, and I have about 1000 songs from my old G4 that I'd like to put on it, but when I plug the iPod's USB cable into the computer, it will only recognize the iPod as a camera and it opens iPhoto, not iTunes. If I open up iTunes, the iPod doesn't show up on the left side of the screen, where playlists are.

What should I do?

BTW, it's running Mac OS 10.3.9

You need Tiger to use your iPod. It should say so on the box, but here's a shot from Apple's site about it.

Crap. Thanks a lot for saving me some time.

Is there any simple way to transfer 1000 songs from computer to computer? (I have a macbook running tiger but no hardware to connect the 2)

Yeah, it's pretty easy if you've got AirPort on the G4. Just enable file sharing in System Prefs, create a wireless network on your MacBook, join the network with the G4, then log into the computer from your MacBook, go to your music folder, then into iTunes' folder... you get the idea, just find the music on your computer and drag it from there to the iTunes icon in your dock on the MacBook.
