I have a PowerBook g4 that when i tried to run system restore disk, it does not show my hard drive as an option to mount to.
What can i do?

Can you connect it to another Mac via Firewire Target Mode, and access it via the Disk Utility on the other Mac?
Target mode -help needed-
I have found the fire wire cable, and need to find out how to transfer info to the dead mac, I do not have a HARD DRIVE to mount to or from when I open laptop in target mode, it only shows the software that is in the drive.
Any help? Suggestions?
