G4 Powermac USB 2.0 Card

Hello, I installed an ALI USB 2.0 PCI card in my G4 powermac Digital/audio running OS/X 10.3.7

When I plug a usb 1.1 device into the New PCI card, that mac detects it and runs the device perfectly... When I plug my iPod into the PCI card my iPod will show "Do not disconnect" but will not mount.... When I plug my iPod into the standard USB 1.1 ports on the tower, it mounts fine... anyone have any tips to get USB 2.0 working here? Thanks

I've not heard of ALI before.

I've had both an IOGear and an Adaptec USB 2.0 cards in m PowerMac and both have worked fine. (The IOGear had only 2 ports and the Adaptec was available at a great price, so I replaced the IOGear for that reason.)

Do you have nay other USB 2.0 devices to test? This will help narrow down where the fault might be.

Although, first check, when you bring up the System Profiler, does the iPod show up under the USB High-Speed Bus when it is plugged into the ALI card?
