I'm just wondering what folks out there think about the following:

I own a PowerMac G4 QuickSilver (2002) Duel Proc. 1.0GHZ
512MB Ram, GeForce 4 MX 64mb vram.

I am contemplating purchasing an ATI Radeon 9800 Pro 128mb vram
for $225.00 (us-$)

what's everyone's thoughts, is it worth the money, will it be an OK system for Tiger and Adobe CS, (and maybe motion for personal use - academic price)
I know it's no screamer compared to a G5 with a ati X800 but I won't be able to afford a new computer for over a year. Would I be best off to save my money to put towards a new computer in a year, or would it be a worth while upgrade until then. (I wouldn't get rid of the G4, just wouldn't be my primary computer anymore)

Any help & thoughts would be >greatly< appreciated !!!
Thanks in advance

I would also love to know which video cards are compatible with a G4 Sawtooth AGP to enable it to run Core Image. I looked on the ATI website, but couldn't find compatibility info. Help us out guys! :)

I found this on apples site
Core Image-capable graphics cards include:

* ATI Mobility Radeon 9700
* ATI Radeon 9600 XT, 9800 XT, X800 XT
* nVidia GeForce FX Go 5200
* nVidia GeForce FX 5200 Ultra
* nVidia GeForce 6800 Ultra DDL, 6800 GT DDL

Its says XT but i'm not sure what XT actaully means I'm not sure if the pro cards will do it since those are what are availvble for the quicksilver.
