Hello,

I have a PC right now as a family computer, and I use my Macbook for everything I do,

but I'm ready to take out the PC,and throw in a Mac desktop! I have an old G3 B&W but it is not fast enough to do anything on.

Im looking at a G4 Quicksilver with the Following Specs

768 Megabytes of internal memory.
80 gigabyte hard drive.
Built in gigabit ethernet.
Two Firewire 400 ports.
Two USB ports.
DVD-Rom.
Nvidia GeForce 4MX AGP video card.
Apple Airport Card Installed.
Dual 1Ghz G4 Processors

I will upgrade it to at least on 1GB of ram, (because It has one ram slot open still, and I have several 256 sticks setting around!

I know it will run leopard ok, and it wont be a permanent solution, I plan to get an iMac or something later on, but I have a few questions about this,

1. Is it worth it to buy,
2. what is the most I should give for it
3. How good is that Graphics card?
4. is there anything I should know about it before I buy it?

Thank You,
:)

I've got a 733MHz Quicksilver with 1GB ram and it's fine.
How much is the one you're looking at going to cost?

if for some reason it went up what is the Max I should buy it for?

and how does this compare to my macbook (2GHz Core2duo, 2GB of ram)
performance wise,

Max? I'm not really sure. Some other members may have a better idea.

performance wise, the whole buss speed is a lot lower so even with 1.5 GB RAM it'll be a fair but slower.
