All you can do is go into istat preferences and deselect "Drive Bay"
On my system iStat reads the "Back Side" as 1100 deg.
I suspect these are sensor problems, either faulty or just that istat cannot read them.
Temperature Monitor correctly reads my "Back Side" at 48.8 deg C.

When the software can't read a sensor it just outputs -127. That's what it outputs for my GPU Diode when I'm using integrated graphics on my MBP.

And as mentioned in my post above, iStat can't read my Backside sensor, so it reports 1100 deg, while Temperature Monitor which can read it, reports it correctly at 47.5 deg.

Cheers guys, Figured that it's just something with istat and not the actual Mac as it runs fine, Might just use it to cook my lunch then ;)

i think it would torch your lunch "put it the oven for 15 minutes" "ok i will just stick it in my mac and lunch in 2 minutes!" lol
