G5 blacks out, says No Input Signal

I've switched the feed to the monitor from VGA to DVI, but I still get the screen blacking out from time to time after the computer is warm. Is this the graphics card? The G5 is new(ish) and shouldn't be worn out. I'm sure it's pretty simple for one who knows. Advice appreciated. George
