G5 can't see external hard drive

I have a Lacie external hard dire which I use with my PC. I wantedto stare some files from my MAC on it as well but it dosen't apperar on the desktop.
When I plug it in, a message comes up that there are no recognised files on the drive, (which I thik there are) Do I want to cnfigure it? Which I do't becuaes this will erase all the fiiles on the drive, won't it?

I'm using OX 10.2.8.

Am I asking it to do something it cant or is there a way round this. Any suggetinns gratefuly recieved.

Is the drive formatted to NTFS? If so I'm not sure if Jaguar can read that, I know that later versions of Mac OS X can read it. Try saving all the files to the PC and reformatting it to FAT32 and resaving the files to it and see fi that works.
