On my G5 the fan never goes off unless I put it to sleep. Even when the unit goes to sleep after not using it for a while it still is on. Ideas? Thanks

Its one of the thermal sensors not reading. The computer can't get a reading so to be safe it runs them full blast. I'd check the hard drive sensor, mounted on the Hd bracket and connects right above the ram slots. Check that out. Or there's a chance it could be back capacitors on the motherboard. I've seen fan issues with that.
