G5 imac screen interchangeabilitynessism

I have a 17" G5 iSight imac and I was wondering if it matters if I replace the screen with one of the earlier G5 imacs. The Flat Panel or the ALS.

Also is there anything I need to be aware of when replacing the HD, or is it a matter of just making sure it is a SATA drive.

can only definitely answer the HDD question , any sata 3.5 inch will do , but i would go for a WD caviar blue 1 TB (look the charts its not much slower then a WD caviar black 2TB drive ,but its cheaper)

Generally WD drives offer best value for money, they have a reputation for being reliable
