I am trying to install a new larger hard drive to my G5. The older hard drive is filled up but was backed up using Time Machine. When I place the Leopard disc I purchased the old hard drive sees the disk and when I start the install it asks to restart the computer. Great.
Once it restarts it eventually come to a screen with the Apple logo.

At this point both hard drives are connected - the older one and the newer one.

What can I do so that I can boot to the Leopard disc so I can start my Time Machine backup on the new larger hard drive?

Thank you for looking.

inserting the Install DVD and restarting your computer while holding down the C key, or by selecting the Install DVD as your startup disk using Startup Disk preferences.( the later you find under the small :apple: on the left top of the screen and then system preferences -startup disc)
i am not sure if that was your question

Thank you MacHamster68.

Without doing anything differently it is now installing my Time Machine backup.

Cheers!
