G5 Problems with Archive Utility

Hi, hope this is the right forum. My friend has given me a large Archive file (.zip) and it works fine on his G5 but when I go to open it on mine it comes up with the error:-

Unable to unarchive "Projects.zip" into "Backup Storage".
(Error 1 - Operation not permitted.)

Anyone know what I'm doing wrong or is it possible the archive is damaged?

Are you both running the same OS? What app did your friend use to compress it? Do you have enough free space to unzip it?

both running same os and plenty of room on HD. I've just taken my G5 over to his and transfered the original unzipped folder over LAN instead. Thanks for the reply though, still not sure what the problem was . . .
