Anyone knows why on a G5 Quad, iDVD "uses" only 50% of 1 CPU to render (encode) the movie befor burning the dvd? It is quite frustraiting to see other 3 and a half processors doing nothing. On the other hand - the same performance could be achieved on a G4 1.25 at full speed, without the need to spend a lot of money.

Any ideas?

Well I think iDVD isn't built to handle 4 processors...so that might be why it is a consumer product not a pro product. I would try DVD Studio Pro, it should run faster and take advantage of the extra processors.
