Hello, first post here.
I have bought my 4th G5 Quad in 7 years - there aren't many in Turkey and 2 died on me. Besides the one I had to pick up, the ones that were shipped always had lower handles bent outwards.
Luckily this one has the single radiator cooler, and temperatures seem to be acceptable for both CPUs. I am planning to move it over to a Single 2.3 DC (Late 2005) casing I have laying around. Is there anything I should consider? Like a brittle plastic clip that I should go carefully with etc.? And furthermore, is it worth the hassle? No A400 (or same dimensions air cooler with a similar locking mechanism) in Turkey so no air cooling conversion. I will be doing a full motherboard transfer, then replace the CPU + northbridge thermal pastes. Should I also have to swap the PSU?
I am messing running Gentoo but I will be installing an Avid card, so cutting off those bent handles for the sake of racking it is still an option.
Thank you!
