Resolved G5 Quad Memory Upgrade

I picked up a quad G5 with a good price locally. Interestingly it only has 1G (2x512) RAM on it. So let's do a little memory upgrade.

Apparently A-tech and/or OWC is still selling the stuff with a relatively high price. I wonder would "server memory" like https://www.ebay.com/c/1301715726?iid=114247413743 work in general?

ECC work, but not fully buffered. The ram you posted would not work. The ram I use in my quad are 'nanya pc2-4200e ecc unbuffered, 1gb stick'. Standart ram without ecc also work.

I ended up ordering the nanya sticks MrVitalic mentioned, 12 of them just in case.

I think OWC is high in general, trying to price bloat everything. Memory for a PPC machine shouldn't cost much.
