G5 Rev. 1 shortcomings fixed in Rev. 2?

Anyone read or seen anything about this? Two things come to mind for me.

One, some G5s had a bad buzzing noise that was apparently coming from the power supply unit. It took several PSU revisions to kill this problem, but I though I'd read about some who never saw the problem go away.

Two, external I/O issues. BareFeats clearly showed that the G5 had a seriously bottleneck that hurt FireWire and USB transfer speeds. A FW 800 G4 easily outpaced the G5 on these fronts, even on a PCI card.

Has anyone seen anything about either of these?

My new 2Ghz has noisy power supply that I am trying to get replaced.
I've read somewhere that FireWire problem is still there, but cannot attest to that first hand.
On the other hand, my PM is MUCH queter than previous G5s under continuing load - it seems to run very cool even when CPUs are working hard for many hours.
I din't try anything that loads the HD though.
