I've a late-2005 model G5, which has the factory fitted 6600 videocard installed which has two displays running happily from it, but need to run a third display so was looking towards a second card.
Have sourced an identical 6600 card to fit alongside it but having no luck in getting it work drive anything. Not a thing!
With the factory-card being in a 16-lane slot, and the new card in an 8-lane, is this likely to be a stumbling block, as if so, what can I do? Can the G5 even run a second card at all then? Is the design of the board cutting out the possibility of multiple cards??
