G5 shipping times

I read on XLR8-your-mac that someone said the g5s wont ship till late sept. I went to apple to check my order status, but it was not available.

New orders are saying 7-10 weeks... so new orders wont ship till sept - early oct.

Anyone know anything about this?

Check the archives ... this has been beat to death, pretty much. The single CPU machines will go out first; the store says 4 - 6 weeks. The duals ship next; store says 7 - 10 weeks recently. That would put them around the end of August to start shipping. People on the board who had their orders in for duals say they recently had the ship date updated to "on or before 8/29" from "on or before 9/2".
