Saw a news article on a S4 that burnt up!


Let the Samsung comment bashing begin!!!!!!!
 
Um... They warned don't sleep with your phone. But who does this? Really if you sleep with your phone IN BED with you, you have a problem. My phones is right next to my bed but by no means in it or on it. And it was a 3rd party battery so it's not samsungs fualt. And people using 3rd party chargers have had fires on the 5s

Why does any one have a galaxy s4? And I got my phone at the age of 13 :eek:
 
Times have changed! At 13 I add a Phillips BT cell net phone. Which was good mobile tech back then! I'll admit I think kids are lucky nowadays with the amount if technology available to them at that age!
 
A cheap, non official 3rd party battery fitted into a mobile phone, and then that device placed under a pillow directly against the makers instructions.

Perhaps she's trying out for the Darwin Awards?

What's next, making toast whilst she's in the bath?
Drying her hair in the microwave?

I agree, its ridiculous. You see it all the time. Parents foolishly getting their 3rd graders iPhones/Androids. I feel old because when I was in elementary school, the average person didn't even own a cell phone.

I got my first cell phone in 3rd grade, but it was a simple phone, only used for contacting my parents. I didnt have an iphone until sophomore year of highschool.

I know that is mostly because of technological advances, but simple phones are still made for this reason. Not everyone needs a smart phone.

If you read the actual article, it talks about how a standard samsung battery was not actually being used.

So title could be: Using non-samsung battery causes fire

Many iPhones have exploded from using fake chargers.

Maybe I'm not following you but the S4 screen is a larger sheet of gorilla glass then the iPhones gorilla glass. I'd assume they are referring to that...?

I can only be mad at myself for clicking on a Fox news link. I still hold resentment toward the OP though.
