That is not how it works. You have to prepare for it being Apple. With how many songs did they start the iTunes store. With 6 albums? Don't think so. More like 50000. They prepared for that. If Sony does a new PS4, it start with 20-30 games at least including some killer games. Apple simply failed on this. Music is easier, but when they started iTunes, apple was a small cute company with shallow pockets. Now it is loaded and 100 times as big. You can prepare some good games to be in the store.
I'm not getting your logic about how Apple failed. It's the game developers that have to integrate their games to work with game center. Would you have preferred Apple didn't release game center even though it was finished so that game developers could get more products ready?
