I play a few games but never use game center. Used to be cancel once and it would not re-appear. Now it is showing up for several of my games - not all the time but often. Since it is built into a lot of apps probably will never be one that we can delete but it is just a pain.

Yup - almost enough to make me want to go back to iOS8 tbh. I don't want Game Centre bloatware, seems Apple are just pushing it now
EDIT - mine seems to have stopped after putting in a random letter into the username and password of the Game Centre log in when it popped up, then cancelling out after it said it failed. My suspicion is if it has your Apple ID "saved" as a possibility, it'll keep asking for it as it can see you are using that Apple ID for the Store or whatnot (completely guessing here).
Will keep testing.
