I was playing Borderlands and all of a sudden it froze, and emitted 3 loud continuous beeps. From searching, the 3 beeps seems like it's some memory issue? I was able to shut down and it rebooted fine. Most of the issues i've read are about the 3 beeps on boot up.

So I'm wondering if there are other causes for these 3 beeps besides RAM. The laptop is just 3 wks old and I just put in a 120GB Corsair Force 3 SSD in it. Not sure if the SSD could have caused this kind of beeping, like a BSOD in Windows. This only happened once so far.

edit: this is a 2011 2.2GHz MBP

could be over heating issue. the computer might be trying to turn off itself to prevent overheating of the CPU/GPU
