iPod touch game progress not saving

device: iPod Touch 5th generation 32 GB
OS: iOS 8.4
jailbroken: yes


I have noticed that for the past few weeks, my game progress sometimes does not save after I close the app. The game doesn't reset to the beginning, but whatever I've done in that session is not saved. This sometimes happens with games like Real Racing 3 or Injustice: Gods Among Us. Is there any way I can prevent this from happening? Is is because the games take up a significant amount of storage space?
