Game stops loading

I have a crappy computer that is about 4 years old. Its a black macbook. It has 30.88 Gb of memory left and about 20-23 Gb left after I install Team Fortress 2. I close every app, and set all the details and graphics on low, but it takes forever to load and then when it gets to the end it just crashes. It does the same with Garry's Mod. How do I fix, and if I cant' Im getting a new computer soon. Thanks

One way to make your macbook load faster would be to add more RAM to your computer... and I'm assuming you mean you have 30.88GB of HD?
