Gamepad Companion - cannot install

I'm trying to install Gamepad Companion, but the installer won't let me past the first screen, and it gives me this message.

Anyone else have this problem?

I tried to install gamepad companion as well and am getting the same error. From what I can gather its a problem with stuffit, but I only have 9.0, so I can't really extract it using another version. Have you managed to get this figured out yet? has anyone else for that matter?
