Gamepad controllers for intel iMacs.

I need help in deciding what the BEST gamepad controller with the least amount of user complaints is that will work with my dual core intel Imac. The configuration is as follows:

I understand from googleing that the Logitech controller is not rated well although it is advertised as top notch.

My game preferences are racing games, combat games, first shooter games.

Any advice or help provided will be appreciated.

I use the wired XBox 360 controller. Works like a charm if you grab a free driver off the web.
