:mad::confused:
I just got Age of Mythology and downloaded Gameranger. Once I open Gameranger, I type in an e-mail address, make up a password, etc. The final click is supposed to create my account. Well, I get a message that says that my account doesn't exist. I go back to the button that asks whether or not I have an existing account. I click yes, create new account. I do the same thing over again and the same thing happens again.

When I try to create my account, it always tells me that my e-mail is not found and an account does not exist. I always go back to find that the no, I have an existing account button is selected. I always change it to yes, create new account and the very aggravating cycle continues.

PLEASE HELP!

thanks

There are a few things you should check:
1. e-mail adress correctly.
2. confirmed e-mail adress?
3. remember to put i.e. ".com" and not by mistake ",com"
4. faulty game perhaps, i've had a few of those, where the online game isn't possible because of the cheap manufacture.

hope i helped.

just to make sure

The e-mail address is correct, I've checked many times. The password is correct. The game is not the problem, I downloaded Gameranger from the internet for online play. The game is age of mythology, and it is not runnning or involved in any way when I'm trying to register for Gameranger.

It's that every time I try to create an account, it acts like I'm trying to find an existing account. I can't figure out why.

I tried deleting gameranger from the computer and re-installing it, but the computer remembered my selections from before even though I re-installed it from the net. I had the same problem.

This is crazy.

I have an account with GR to play AOE3.

I think their server is down today? I haven't been able to login to GR at all. Maybe that's why it doesn't even let you make new acct, maybe.

A slightly older thread, but was pointed to me by someone.

Just to confirm, sdrobinson, you did nothing wrong. The GameRanger server was having database issues on that day. The problems were fixed, and extra measures were taken to make sure it cannot happen again.

Thanks.
Scott.
