We are planning some family vacations this year, and I'd like to put some kids games on the iPod Touch to amuse my 5 yr old son while we're in airports and on planes etc.

There are lots and lots of games available - I'm looking at them on the app store when I have time, but can anyone here recommend games or apps that have worked well for this purpose?

Thanks in advance,

Charlie

My 6yr old nephew likes topple, field runners, jelly car, tic tac toe, and trace.

OK, thanks for the suggestions. I'll check them out. How about games for me?

I have a 5 year old. Here are some suggestions in no particular order.
Toy Bot Diaries 1, Toy Bot Diaries 2, Toy Bot Diaries 3, Dizzy Bee, Dizzy Bee 2, Armado, Days of Thunder, Jelly Car, Super Monkey Ball, Bumblebee touchbook, Duck duck duck, Rolando, Rhino Ball, Rock-n-roll, Maze finger... Just for starters. These are all very good, and I can have fun with them when he gives my phone back!

P.S. My son is Autistic, so I have to be very careful that I do not introduce games that can easily cause sensory overload. Those who know him have said that the iPhone (He has an iPod touch now BTW...) is worth at least a thousand bucks when used as an electronic "pacifier".

Thanks for all the replies, I believe I have enough ideas now.
