iPod touch Games need wifi connection?

Can you play these games like Super Monkey Ball and Ms Pacman without a wifi connection or do you have to be in a hotspot?

Don't need wifi. They're downloaded to your Touch.

some games do need and or use but dont require a wifi connection, to submit highschores and such..like trism...
most as of yet do not..

who would pay 10 bucks for a game that takes up 70 mb of space just to be able to use it with wifi. The game is downloaded on to your touch.
