Games showing black screen at start using Radeon 4870

I have a 2006 Mac Pro with a flashed XFX 1GB Radeon 4870. World of Warcraft and Doom 3 load and I can hear the audio yet dont display anything other than a black screen. It's the same both windowed and full screen for both games. I have searched a lot for drivers and info of this problem and cannot find anything.
