Just Released

One of the great challenges of playing social networking games, such as Zynga's Cafe World and Farmville, is that you must remember to take care of the games -- OR ELSE!

That's where GameTimers by Xaden comes in. Customize up to 30 separate countdown timers to keep you on top of your game.

The initial release is for iOS3.0+ devices.

Our first review, on the day of release, was from the UK store, a 5-rating, which was pretty cool, and so far the 5s have stayed with us, which we'll enjoy as long as it lasts!

There are several screen shots, and that great first review, over at the Xaden website and at the App Store.

I am the developer and did the integration of the Edit Decision List functionality on Final Cut Pro, which I think was an easier slog than coming up to speed on cocoa touch, but we're here now, and NO crash reports yet. (Nor should anyone expect crash reports, but we know how that goes!)

From a personal perspective, when this app was requested by the publisher, Xaden, I had no idea about internet games, nor wanted to, particularly. But, believing in "Method Acting", I started playing Cafe World, and then I started the GameTimers design. It went through several iterations, including setting up elaborate templates. As I kept playing the game, I went back and honed the app down to the quickest approach to setting up and repeatedly using the 30 countdown timers (I was using 50 for development and found 30 to be optimum for use). I have now reached a level 91, 1,270,000 Cooking Points, etc., and I use GameTimers several times a day to keep it all together (my girlfriend now has me playing her Cafe World!) I don't have to play CW any more, but the app makes it easy to remember, removing the frustration of spoils, etc., and I look forward to getting the GameTimers alert.

Take a look at the app, mosey over to codes where I'll post an invite for a few, and then beat it up.

Looking forward to hearing back, no matter.
